Description:
This piece was an exercise on destructing/abstracting a cube. My goal was to create the illusion of swirling movement within a purely rigid and geometric frame and medium, with little pockets of visual interest. When creating the cube, I first modeled my ideas in in Rhino to test different iterations. I then constructed the inner twisted cube, before hanging it on my microphone arm with ribbon to attach the outer cube outline with the middle sticks.
