Also from my school’s Architectural Design Studio class, this project tasked us with designing a house made out of shipping containers (maximum of 8).
Description:
In order to maximize the space inside, I decided to make the stairs on the outside of the containers, encased in glass walls. I created a separate room and hallway inside the middle containers to connect the two staircases. The staggered design to allowed for a lot of outdoor patio space, and I modeled a hill for the house to flow down. The house includes a living space on the bottom, a kitchen above it, a bedroom in the middle, a bathroom above that, and another bedroom at the top.
